Stevens Rowsell (Precision) Ltd have a dedicated Quality Department responsible for controlling first article inspection, final inspection prior to delivery, product conformity, process improvement and staff training.

To compliment the control of product conformity it is also important to control any other aspect of the business that could directly or indirectly affect quality. Therefore Stevens Rowsell operate a fully computerised purchasing and stock management system to ensure that all incoming materials and parts are checked, booked in and located; to ensure that all parts leaving the business are checked and accounted for; and to ensure that shop floor data collection, perpetual inventory counts and works order variances are maintained. By actively managing all aspects of its business systems and controlling all processes Stevens Rowsell ensure that product quality is of the highest standard. 

To support the Quality Dpt in inspection Stevens Rowsell have invested in the latest FARO Gauge CMM portable arm and shop floor measuring equipment.
 
The FARO arm has a working volume of 1.2m (48”), is accurate to 0.005mm (0.0002”) in accordance with ISO 10360-2, is CE certified and provides a cost effective, 3-dimensional gauge replacing conventional gauging devices with an expandable library of software gauging tools. High precision calliper, height gauge and micrometer measurements can be easily emulated facilitating checks on basic geometry, distances and angles with reduced operator error in a fraction of the time.
 
The mobile FARO arm gives Stevens Rowsell (Precision) Ltd a powerfully advanced tool providing the flexibility and control it requires to support its shop floor manufacturing and quality department activities with fast, efficient and accurate first article and final inspection. Comprehensive reports and SPC statistical analysis can be generated with ease and the operational and administrative time savings have contributed towards increased productivity and improved on time delivery performance. The software platform provides professional looking and easy to read inspection reports which are included with all customer delivery notes where requested and as standard for initial deliveries of new product.

As well as the FARO arm Stevens Rowsell also use various Digital Micrometers & Verniers ranging from 150mm – 1000mm, Thread Gauges, Plug Gauges, Finishing Gauges & Torque Wrenches, all of which our regularly calibrated and serviced.

BSI Accreditation

Stevens Rowsell (Precision) Ltd operates a fully accredited and audited Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001: 2000.

The company successfully achieved registration approval in October 1993 and have continued to develop its quality management system ever since. The accreditation is independently audited by the British Standards Institute every year and the system is regularly improved through a planned programme of internal process audits.
